DETA INTRODUCES NEW PITCHING INSTRUCTOR,
CORY DEIGHAN Cory Deighan was a two-year letter winner at Seton-LaSalle Catholic High School and was part of the team ranked first in the WPIAL and fifth in the state in 2009. Coach Deighan spent two seasons playing junior college baseball at CCAC-South from 2011-2013 where he holds numerous pitching records. Deighan was a student-athlete at Pitt-Greensburg from 2014-2015. In 2015, he tied for the conference lead in games and started (9) during the regular season, and finished 3rd overall in games started (10) by seasons end. He finished the season accumulating a team high of 60 innings on the mound, ranking him third in the conference, and His 10 starts that season are the 2nd most in a single season in the history of the Pitt-Greensburg program. In 2017, Deighan took over as pitching coach at Pitt-Greensburg. That year, the Bobcats went 18-15 (10-6 AMCC) and finished 3rd in the conference. In 2018 Deighan was named head coach at the Community College of Allegheny County South Campus, making him one of the youngest head coaches in the country. From 2018-2019, the baseball team saw it’s overall GPA increase by 14%. In those two years, 4 players went on to receive athletic and academic scholarships to play ball at the next level. Diesel Edege would like to shed some light on our development membership as opposed to the standard one on one lessons. You will see the pricing below along with an outline of the program. We sell this in 3 month periods because this is where true development takes place. During these 12 weeks, each athletes’ individual needs will be addressed: nutritional, sports performance, and skill program design. This program provides flexibility ranging from 2-4 days per week for skill design and 6-7 days a week for sports performance sessions. Programs can be competed at the Diesel Edge facility or on your own, respecting schedules for all athletes. Monthly skill program memberships are offered as well however we encourage all our athletes to participate in our skill and sports performance membership to get the best value and results.
